Standard Textile, Küçükçalık Announce Joint Venture To Accelerate Growth In Markets

CINCINNATI — June 24, 2021— Standard Textile Co. Inc. and Küçükçalık today announce they have entered into a joint venture agreement. The joint venture agreement brings together the specialized expertise and knowledge of two textile manufacturing companies to expand their product portfolio and accelerate growth in the healthcare, hospitality, and consumer markets.

Küçükçalık is a global textile manufacturing company with key operations in Turkey and Egypt. From fiber production to weaving to finishing, the company produces apparel, bedding, drapery, and other decorative products for the consumer market. The company opened its first weaving mill in 1990 and added dyeing and printing factories in 1992. In 2019, Küçükçalık created a new sustainable yarn from discarded PET bottles using advanced spinning technology. The company is listed among the top 500 companies in the Turkish industrial sector.

Beaver Paper Group Installs Largest Robotic Arm In The United States

ATLANTA — June 23, 2021— Beaver Paper Group, a manufacturer of sublimation media and cut and sew papers, is pleased to announce the addition of one of the largest, state-of-the-art Robotic Arm and Precision Perforator to its newly remodeled production division.

The Dalmec Robotic Arm Manipulator will allow the operators to pick up and move large-scale paper rolls with minimal effort and maximum safety. The Dalmec Manipulator has been designed and manufactured to handle paper rolls up to 11 feet in length and 2 feet in diameter with a tremendous maximum handling weight of 1,060 kilograms (2,330 pounds)

The “Perf 104″ is one of the widest perforating machines in the world, measuring at 104 inches, creating more possibilities and options for its customers. Designed in-house in conjunction with Swiss engineers, the Perf 104 has impeccable precision while producing both micro-perf and one-perf sizes. The new perforator is vital to keep up with the growth that Beaver Paper Group is experiencing, and will allow in-house production of perforated papers, giving our customers more options through our facility.

Wolfram Krenn Appointed Borealis Executive Vice President Base Chemicals & Operations

VIENNA, Austria — June 23, 2021— The Supervisory Board of Borealis appointed Wolfram Krenn as executive vice president Base Chemicals & Operations and member of the Borealis executive board, effective July 1, 2021. He succeeds Martijn van Koten, who was appointed OMV executive board member responsible for the Refining division.

Krenn looks back at a long-standing career at OMV. He joined the company in 1998 as process engineer, then moved to production and operations, joining OMV Petrom in 2014 as lead for the Petrobrazi Refinery, Romania. In 2018, Krenn was appointed senior vice president, Site Management Schwechat, Austria, before taking over his current role role of Senior Vice President for Refining Assets in 2019.

Krenn holds a masters degree in Chemical Engineering from the Technical University of Graz, Austria. He is Austrian citizen, married and father of two children.

AATCC Announces New E-Textiles Exploratory Series

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C — June 21, 2021 — AATCC continues its support for e-textile research, initiatives, and innovation. From July 21 through September 15, 2021, AATCC will be offering a new virtual educational program called the E-Textiles Exploratory Series.

The program will feature industry experts discussing a variety of topics including safety, data privacy, design, methodology, standards, cyber security, commercialization, as well as e-textile fundamentals. The Consumer Product Safety Commission will be hosting a free session on safety through risk assessment, and other presentations will be available for purchase as a series or individually, both live or on-demand. GIS Adds Epson D3000-A1R Printhead Support To Further Expand Product Range

CAMBRIDGE, England — June 22, 2021 — Global Inkjet Systems (GIS), a strategic partner for OEMs and system builders, is developing flexible drive electronics and software for the Epson D3000-A1R industrial inkjet printhead to coincide with the release schedule for the printhead from Epson later this year.

The Epson D3000-A1R offers nozzle level ink recirculation and enables 1,200 dpi high frequency printing using UV, aqueous and solvent-based inks.  As part of the PrecisionCore family of Epson printheads, its compact design for easy printbar alignment and high-speed capabilities make it ideal for industrial printing markets and is expected to be popular for packaging and textile applications.

The new GIS HMB-SE-D3000 Head Manager Board can drive up to 2 x Epson D3000-A1R printheads per board and includes print data management, greyscale waveform control and printhead diagnostics, all accessed over Ethernet. It is complemented by the proven GIS recirculating ink delivery modules and Atlas® software to provide a comprehensive solution to achieve the high-quality, high-speed printing required by demanding industrial applications.

Gymshark To Increase North American Fulfillment Footprint With Radial To Meet Increased Demand Stateside

Adding on to established operations currently running in Mississauga, Canada, the first U.S.-based center will open July 2021 in Rialto, Calif,, with east coast centers following later in the year.
