Fabletics Partners With Kevin Hart To “Fix What’s Wrong With Men’s Activewear” By Creating Fabletics Men

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — April 10, 2020 — Fabletics, the innovative activewear brand launched by TechStyle Fashion Group in 2013, today introduced Fabletics Men, a new activewear label with a singular mission to “cater to guys that the older performance brands have left behind.”

Fabletics Men is headlined by actor, comedian and businessman Kevin Hart, who is collaborating on a foundational level with TechStyle. Their mission: offer a curated, high-performance, confidently-cool line designed to make men feel “they’ve finally got an activewear company that’s 100 percent in their corner.”

“The activewear space wants to intimidate,” says Hart. “To get you to spend way too much cash on complicated tech you don’t need. On overpriced labels. On streetwear that tries too hard to be cool.

“But at Fabletics Men? We’re going to give you exactly what you want at a price that won’t scare the hell out of you.”

TechStyle Co-CEO and Co-Founder Don Ressler “looked to Kevin to provide a true guiding vision and voice for Fabletics Men. He’s the DNA for the entire brand.

“Kevin called out the problem: a lot of older performance labels pressure you to be something you’re not. Fabletics Men works 24-7 to provide gear that works for the wearer – not the other way around.”

For Fabletics Men, arriving as a newcomer in the men’s activewear space demanded a groundbreaking, problem-solving approach. That meant performing exhaustive research across a wide range of prospective members to identify a list of true pain points within the category.

Co-CEO and Co-Founder Adam Goldenberg emphasizes that TechStyle’s “flexible membership-based business model mandates a truly connective relationship with our customers. We do a lot of listening. Because we can’t think of our members as one-time customers. Our brands are active communities.

“TechStyle’s brands succeed because we strive to innovate based on direct asks from our members.”

The result: a true problem-solving brand. Fabletics Men dials up performance and design while removing the guesswork and anxiety that accompanies the everyday shopping experience.

Fabletics Men aims to succeed by “obsessively focusing” on four bedrock areas: fit, function, feel and style.

At the same time, the pieces are also designed to provide a high-level aesthetic cohesion that styles you throughout your day. Fabletics Men looks to give its members gear that can stand alone and stand out, while existing within a broader design framework.

Fabletics Men will offer a curated line of foundational layers, high-performance activewear tops and bottoms, pre and post workout pants, joggers, hoodies, and crewneck sweatshirts. The brand will be sold at Fabletics.com as well as in all 40 Fabletics retail locations across the country.

One of the world’s fastest growing global activewear brands, Fabletics has surpassed more than $400 million in annual revenue with over 1.5 million active members. According to Ressler, “Fabletics Men marks a transformational milestone for the brand at large.”

Excitement and demand for Fabletics Men is already at unprecedented levels unseen in TechStyle history. Its initial beta run of product completely sold out and there is now a quickly growing waitlist to shop the All-Access Launch in late April.

The brand is placing particular emphasis on developing and cultivating “The Crew”; the fast-growing Fabletics Men community. “The Crew” is built on charitable giving, wellness strategies and community outreach. The goal: build a thriving community known for positivity, warm humor and emotional encouragement.

And as millions adjust to life during the COVID-19 pandemic, Fabletics Men is moving to deliver aid to those in need. Through the end of May, 20 percent of Fabletics Men’s net proceeds will go to Heart to Heart International, pledging at least $50,000 to help distribute urgently needed equipment and medication to partners in the U.S. and around the world.

“Every man is going to want to put our ‘F’ on his chest,” says Hart. “Because it’s going to stand for the best damn activewear — period. But that ‘F’ will also stand for something bigger. That ‘F’ says that someone has got your back.”

Sinopec Yizheng Chemical Fibre Co. (YCFC) Launches Its First Meltblown Nonwoven Production Line

YIZHENG, Jiangsu Province— April 9, 2020 — Sinopec Yizheng Chemical Fibre Co. (YCFC) successfully launched its first meltblown nonwoven production line on March 29 in Yizheng, Jiangsu province, which was manufactured by Shaoyang Textile Machinery Co, affiliated to Sinomach’s subsidiary China Hi-Tech Group Corp. (CHTC). Shaoyang Textile Machinery succeeded in reducing the lead time to a month and delivered the production line 13 days earlier than the date required by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC).

As the filter layer of a surgical mask, the meltblown nonwoven material is an essential raw component in mask production. Mask production lines are expanding rapidly across the country as an urgent part of pandemic prevention and control, and a large number of manufacturers are facing a shortage of raw materials. Shaoyang Textile Machinery rose to the challenge and undertook supply of YCFC’s 12 meltblown nonwoven production lines.

After the company signed the supply agreement with YCFC on Feb 25 it took a series of effective measures to push forward the work and successfully ensured the YCFC’s first meltblown nonwoven production line would start on March 29.

When all 12 meltblown nonwoven production lines are operational YCFC will have a daily output of 12 tons of N95 meltblown nonwoven or 18 tons of surgical mask materials, and be able to increase production of disposable surgical masks by 18 million pieces a day.

Shaoyang Textile Machinery is a leading enterprise in developing and manufacturing melt-blown and spunbonded nonwoven equipment in China. It has developed and produced 300 pieces of such equipment, which have been exported to more than a dozen countries and regions, with great market effect in the industry. At present, the company has received 37 orders for non-woven equipment from enterprises such as China National Petroleum Corp. and China Petrochemical Corp. as well as various countries, including India and Uzbekistan.

Delta Galil Joins Fight Against COVID-19 By Producing More Than 1.5 Million Face Masks

TEL AVIV, Israel — April 9, 2020 — Delta Galil Industries Ltd. — a global manufacturer and marketer of branded and private label apparel products for men, women and children, as well as leisurewear, activewear and denim — is helping ensure that European governments and emergency service personnel have the protective face masks they need as they work to combat the spread of the coronavirus. Delta European Brands subsidiary Schiesser will produce more than 1 million masks in total for the Czech and Slovakian governments and a German protective equipment company. The company’s Eminence subsidiary in France has begun providing face masks to local emergency services personnel and will be producing 400,000 masks per month to meet the needs of police and fire departments, the French military, and NGOs and social services organizations that help the most vulnerable in France.

“Our subsidiaries in Europe have rapidly reengineered production lines to help alleviate the shortage of face masks that governments and emergency services providers are facing in the midst of this crisis,” said Isaac Dabah, CEO of Delta Galil. “In cooperation with our local supply partners in Europe and other industry colleagues, we’re able to increase production capacity to produce hundreds of thousands of urgently needed masks each month, answering the call from country leaders, fire departments, hospitals, police departments and the French Army, among others. We couldn’t be more humbled to be able to quickly produce items to help protect those on the front lines of the fight against COVID-19 in cooperation with our suppliers and industry colleagues.”

Schiesser and Eminence recently retrofitted selected factories to produce reusable fabric face masks that are machine washable. The move was initially intended to help ensure the safety of employees who continue to work on-site, but the companies quickly expanded production capacity to provide masks to emergency service personnel in the field as well as to the governments of other countries in Europe. In addition to fulfilling orders for masks from various organizations, Eminence is also donating hundreds of masks to charities serving citizens in need and to police stations, hospitals and fire departments. Delta Galil will also be producing masks in its facilities in Thailand to meet the needs of local security and medical personnel in that country.

Unifi Recognizes Customers Supplying The Frontlines In The Fight Against COVID-19

GREENSBORO, N.C. — April 9, 2020 — Unifi Inc. recognizes the hard work that its customers are doing in supplying critical products during the COVID-19 pandemic. Unifi supplies yarns and fibers to more than 100 companies that are producing the masks, gowns and other personal protective equipment needed by our first responders, medical personnel and military.

“We have customers actively engaged in the fight against COVID-19,” said Tom Caudle, president & COO of Unifi. “We’re proud that our company is playing a part in that fight by providing the fiber they need.”

Unifi customer, Contempora Fabrics, based in Lumberton N.C., normally supplies fabric for baseball uniforms this time of year, but this season’s fabric is shifting to the production of medical masks and gowns. The factory using Contempora’s fabric is located in Pennsylvania and is owned by sports gear producer, Fanatics. The repurposed fabric is 100 percent polyester sourced from Unifi’s operations in Yadkinville, N.C.

“We’re honored that our fabric is able to help the medical staff, first responders, and military personnel who are putting their lives on the line every day to combat the COVID-19 outbreak,” said Ron Roach, president of Contempora Fabrics. “Only in the American textile industry will you find the ingenuity to solve a mask shortage with baseball uniform fabric. Thanks to Fanatics for their innovative vision, we’re just happy to be a part of the solution.”

Another Unifi customer, Phenix Engineered Textiles, based in South Carolina, supplies elastic strapping for face masks. Unifi supplies the fiber to Phenix Engineered Textiles, and the yellow yarn for the familiar yellow straps is dyed in Unifi’s dyehouse in Reidsville, N.C.

“We’ve had to ramp up production to keep up with the demand,” said Rod Grandy, CEO of Phenix Engineered Textiles. “Unifi is a vital part of our business, and it would be difficult to keep pace with heightened demand without such a reliable partner. U.S. manufacturers are often overlooked, but this local supply chain is precisely why we haven’t missed a beat.”

Unifi’s fiber is an essential ingredient in the production of hundreds of critical components and products including masks, gowns, sewing thread for gowns, sterile wipes, drapes and elastics for masks and face shields.

“We expect to continue to deliver critical products to our customers who are supplying the necessary fabrics and products to those most in need,” added Caudle. “I also want to recognize and thank our hard-working employees for their efforts, especially during these unsettling times.”

Agion® Antimicrobial By Sciessent, Proven To Inactivate Viruses By 99.99 Percent In 5 Minutes, Incorporated In 3 Million N95 Masks Shipped To-Date From Nexera Medical

BEVERLY, Mass. — April 9, 2020 — Agion® Antimicrobial (AM) by Sciessent, a U.S.-based provider of antimicrobial solutions based on naturally occurring elements, is incorporated into FDA cleared N95 respirator masks, the type most in-demand in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. As of March 31, 2020, more than 3 million Nexera SpectraShield 9500 masks incorporating the Agion AM have been delivered to healthcare facilities worldwide.

The Nexera SpectraShield surgical respirator was cleared by NIOSH and received an updated 510(k) from the Food and Drug Administration in 2015 with approved claims to inactivate viruses by 99.99 percent in 5 minutes and kill 99.99 percent of bacteria in 1 hour. It has also been cleared in Canada and the European Union.

“Following the viral outbreaks of the early 2000s, Sciessent engaged with university researchers, industry partners and government organizations to investigate the ability of Agion to inactivate viruses,” said Paul Ford, CEO, Sciessent. “Once Agion AM’s anti-viral efficacy was proven, Sciessent worked with Foss Performance Materials to develop a polyester fiber, named FOSSSHIELD™, with Agion AM embedded into the FPM fiber itself. The FPM media was then manufactured into N95 respirator masks sold by Nexera Medical.”

The Nexera mask is constructed from two layers of FPM nonwoven textile with a filtration membrane between them. Agion AM is in the FPM nonwoven textile in both the inner and outer surface of the Nexera mask.

“We chose the Agion AM solution first and foremost for its efficacy, which when combined with FPM’s nonwoven design expertise, results in a mask sold by Nexera Medical and others that provides extraordinary protection to those on the front lines of virus response,” said Steve Polston, President, Nonwovens for Foss Performance Materials. “In addition, Sciessent leveraged their deep bench of expertise in the medical device market to provide support to FPMs throughout product development and the FDA approval process, which proved key to Nexera receiving approvals.”

The Agion® Antimicrobial is presently registered by the United States Environmental Protection Agency as a preservative and bacteriostatic agent for use in treated articles under 40 CFR 152.25a. The information presented herein is not intended to support or endorse public health claims for treated articles. The Agion Antimicrobial is also used in medical devices under the Food and Drug Administration; those medical device claims are based on safety and efficacy testing and are limited to those approved by FDA.

NCTO: Textile Industry Unites To Play Critical Role For The Nation’s Production Of PPE Products

WASHINGTON — April 9, 2020 — The National Council of Textile Organizations (NCTO), representing the full spectrum of U.S. textiles from fiber through finished products, issued a statement today from textile executives leading the nation’s unified effort to produce critical personal protective equipment (PPE) to help hospitals and healthcare workers fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.

In factories across the country, textile companies are retooling production virtually overnight to produce PPE products ranging from hospital gowns, face masks and shoe covers to scrubs. The industry is playing a critical role in the nation’s manufacturing strategy and solution to help contribute to the high demand for these products.

“Coordinating with local hospitals, healthcare organizations, the entire U.S. production chain and federal agencies, the textile industry has been at the forefront of the incredible manufacturing effort, contributing to the country’s rapid response to the rising needs of frontline workers,” said NCTO President and CEO Kim Glas.

“This industry has taken the lead in this effort, utilizing American manufacturing facilities and workers, despite facing many challenges in this environment. Our industry will continue to do all they can to serve the American people, frontline hospital workers and patients at this time.”

U.S. apparel and textile executives, representing the entire supply chain, from fiber to finished apparel, share their involvement in the monumental task of providing PPE products during challenging times.

The quotes from textile and apparel executives below offer a snapshot of efforts throughout the entire supply chain to provide PPE products for our nation.

As a demonstration of this effort, NCTO shares a few of the many stories emerging from our NCTO members at this time:

Beverly Knits Inc.

“Our team has stepped up to the challenge of fighting Covid-19 and flattening the curve,” said Ron Sytz, CEO of Beverly Knits. “We have organized a team of 25+ companies with over 4,000 American textile and apparel workers, to manufacture personal protective mask for HHS.  Through NCTO and SEAMS [The Association & Voice of the U.S. Sewn Products Industry] we continue to engage with additional companies to help fight this pandemic and flatten the curve.”

Burlington Industries LLC

“Burlington is proud to be a part of an industry with such compassion and call to action as we have seen over the last couple of weeks in the fight against COVID-19,” said Allen Smith, president Burlington, Safety Components & A&E – Americas. “With 40 years of experience in medical fabrics, Burlington is glad to offer its reusable woven products and technical expertise to those within and outside our industry who are stepping up to help produce lifesaving PPE.  Our employees are committed to the cause and working tirelessly in North Carolina to increase production, reallocate resources and support the evolving needs as much as possible.  Reusable fabrics are critical in reducing the scarcity of PPE and increasing availability on the front lines, offering responsible solutions with advanced protection, comfort and durability where it counts the most. Throughout our Elevate portfolio of brands we are also offering support through the use of A&E technical threads and utilizing our network of contacts and expertise across Cone Denim and Safety Components to make connections, offer guidance and facilitate meaningful conversations to support our communities and healthcare heroes.”

Cotswold Industries Inc.

“Cotswold and Central Textiles have pivoted to making PPE substrates for single use non-woven fabrics for and also for reusable PPE,” said James McKinnon CEO of Cotswold. “We have ramped our reusable fabric production and hope to produce 100-150K/week very shortly.”

Gildan Activewear Inc.

“We are pleased to join forces with various business partners in the U.S. to reopen some of Gildan’s global manufacturing facilities under a strict biosecurity protocol to produce face masks and isolation gowns in support of the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Chuck Ward, president of Gildan Yarns. “We are also proud to have donated a number of N95 protective face masks to local hospitals or health and human services organizations in the U.S. to support front line healthcare providers who continue to deliver exceptional care to patients and their families during this crisis,” he added.

Glen Raven Inc.

“The U.S. textile industry has emerged as a critical part of the solution in protecting our frontline workers from COVID-19,” said Leib Oehmig, Glen Raven CEO and NCTO chairman. “Through our collaborative efforts across the industry and with our employees, customers, suppliers and the medical community, the industry has retooled many operations and is supplying important PPE like masks, face shields, swabs, wipes, gowns and many other products. Glen Raven, through our business units, is actively working with our partners across many industries and have aligned our resources to focus on PPE inputs where we are in the best position to offer solutions. These include inputs for gowns, face shields, mask covers, and temporary structures. As part of our response, Glen Raven has organized a fabrication group with several of our customers who are producing face shields and gowns. This group is collaborating with hospital systems across the country to design and scale production of these important products.”

Greenwood Mills

“Venturing into a completely new territory in less than a week’s time was certainly a calculated risk, but one that we feel will pay off in the long run not just for our company, but for our larger community,” said Jay Self, president and chief operating officer of Greenwood Mills. “We have made the switch from denim production to masks and gowns. The first full week of production will result in about 30,000 masks. At full capacity, the company will produce 500,000 masks and 300,000 gowns per week, with flexibility depending on the demand of the products. It’s a testament to our workforce and ingenuity that we were able to make this transition happen so quickly.”

Hamrick Mills

“We at Hamrick Mills have dedicated a significant portion of our manufacturing capacity to the production of scrubs, gowns, masks, and related PPE,” said Jim Hopkins, director of sales at Hamrick. “We are considered and designated as an essential business concern and are intent on doing our share to assist those in need patients, front line first responders, and the general public, during this national crisis.”

Hanesbrands Inc.

“We are proud to be working with the apparel consortium and the National Council of Textile Organizations to rapidly mobilize to meet such an important and critical national need for face masks during this pandemic,” said Michael E. Faircloth, Hanesbrands group president, global operations, American casualwear and e-commerce. “Our employees and those of our consortium partners have been working around the clock to transition production from basic apparel to face mask production. This has required amazing cooperation and close coordination among the government, raw material suppliers, logistics providers and our supply chain employees. Together we are achieving a monumental task, which has resulted in the manufacture and delivery of millions of masks already with hundreds of millions more to come soon. Apparel industry leaders, particularly the consortium members, have successfully turned on a dime to meet the greater good of society.”

Lenzing Fibers Inc.

“Like many companies, Lenzing was working to understand exactly what was needed during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic and we already had fibers in a variety of PPE applications,” said David Adkins, Lenzing commercial manager-Americas Textiles. “Thanks to the information provided by NCTO and several other industry organizations we were able to better clarify market needs and determine and provide appropriate products to fit the markets requirement.”

Milliken & Company

“Many of Milliken’s U.S. customers in the flame resistant, workwear, and industrial space have pivoted their operations to manufacture PPE,” shared Chad McAllister, president of the Milliken Textile Division and EVP of Milliken & Company. “When we saw a need to shift to medical grade textiles, our team quickly stepped up. As of today, we have scaled production of these new products so that together with our customers we can help protect medical workers.”

MMI Textiles Inc.

“For our part, MMI has been focusing on raw materials for all 4 gown levels, both immediate inventory and future production orders, N95 and personal protection masks, face shields and any other PPE raw material,” said Amy Bircher, president and founder of MMI.  “We successfully helped secure immediate raw material for Crye Precision, and they gave a shout out to us on a press conference with the Mayor of NYC. We have secured finished masks to donate to local hospitals that we imported from overseas, and also bought face shields locally to donate. MMI is stocking a variety of widths of elastic for use in a variety of PPE applications — our plan is to create a robust stock option so that customers can ultimately pull product for immediate delivery.”

Parkdale Inc.

“Parkdale has been an American company since 1916 and as such we feel a sense of duty and an obligation to answer our nation’s call for personal protective equipment,” said Anderson Warlick, chairman and CEO of Parkdale. “We are proud to work with our industry colleagues as we work together to retool, re-equip and redirect our plants and supply chains so that every citizen in the United States gets a personal protection mask.”

Picanol of America

“The nature of Picanol of America,Inc., business is to support the U.S. textile industry, especially our weaving customers,” said Cyril Guérin, president of Picanol. “Spare parts, electronic repair and technical services are what we offer day in and day out. Throughout this ordeal, we have not skipped a beat, though the environment is clearly challenging. Our customers produce critical fabrics to be transformed in health care personnel uniform, mattress casing and sheets for the patients, and probably many other PPE. As long as our weaving customers will produce, we will stand by them. This has created a tremendous amount of stress on our associates but their ‘forward looking’ attitude has been an inspiration. It is all about surviving this together.”

Schneider Mills

“Schneider Mills has been very active in the past few weeks in responding to many customer needs for fabric during the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States. We have responded to hurried orders of fabric for the outdoor shelters you see outside medical facilities across America,” said Curt Parker, vice president of operations at Schneider Mills. “Demand in lightweight rip-stop fabrics being used for medical gowns and light weight tents has increased as well. We are continuing to supply to the medical tape industry for 3M. We are responding to a new customer for barrier fabrics in the medical end uses. We are pleased to be doing all we can to support our country in this war with COVID-19. Our employees are putting forth great efforts in these changes as they occur rapidly.”

Shuford Yarns LLC

“Shuford makes yarn for several medical applications such as diabetic socks, gloves, cuffs for surgical gowns, towels going to the military through the Federal Prison industry. Shuford has been given a number of opportunities to participate in making yarns for PPE, surgical gowns etc.,” said Marvin Smith, president and CEO of Shuford. “We are working with a car manufacture who is making PPE for several hospitals in their local area. We also internally are using some of our people who are taking fabric from a few of customers and making PPE to give to people in our community.  With all the negatives in our country, our people have found ways to have a positive in our community.”

Standard Textile

“Our healthcare customers are on the front line of treating patients and saving lives, and we’re relentlessly working to ensure our customers and our communities have continuous access to essential supplies needed to safeguard the health of clinicians, patients, and their families,” said Gary Heiman, president and CEO of Standard Textile. Heiman is fiercely committed to manufacturing as much reusable PPE and other healthcare products as possible — as quickly as possible — to alleviate the stress placed upon the healthcare industry and support the fight against COVID-19. “My concern is we are missing urgent collaboration opportunities with federal or state governments to allow us to serve healthcare workers who are at the frontline of this crisis,” said Heiman.

The Brickle Group

“The Brickle group will be starting production on a general everyday mask produced utilizing our filtration felt from our nonwoven division Bouckaert Industrial Textiles,” said Max Brickle, president of Brickle. “We have developed a supply chain of New England textile manufacturers to be able to produce these masks. The masks we are producing domestically are machine washable meant for everyday public use, not medical use. We are also involved in importing hospital grade PPE for the New England region.”

The LYCRA Company

“The LYCRA Company, the only spandex producer in the U.S., is proud to produce and supply LYCRA® fiber, nylon, and other quality fibers to our value chain customers during these unprecedented times,” said Julien Born, president, apparel for The LYCRA Company. “Now more than ever, the medical community and other frontline workers are in critical need of well-fitting Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) that helps keep them safe. We are encouraged by the quick action of many of our customers who have shifted production to produce masks and other protective devices. And with the inclusion of LYCRA fiber, we hope to help our customers create a better wearer experience, so frontline workers can focus on what matters most – the health and wellness of our communities.”

TSG Finishing LLC

“We have just completed production trials on multiple non-medical woven upholstery fabrics which are now eligible for Level 1 and Level 2 (PPE) for gowns,” said Brian Rosenstein, CEO of TSG. “We are getting ready to run full production on these. The collaborative efforts of NCTO, IFAI, and INDA have been astounding. I am sure none of us feel we can move fast enough given this environment, but feel the entire textile industry has been very expeditious with response.”

Unifi Inc.

“We have more than 100 customers producing masks, gowns and other personal protective equipment needed by our first responders, medical personnel and military in the fight against COVID-19,” said Tom Caudle, president & chief operating officer of Unifi. “At Unifi, we’re proud to play a part in the fight by providing the fiber they need.”

Wearbest Weavers LLC

“In light of the COVID-19 pandemic and the shortage of necessary medical supplies, the mill has been successful in creating and pivoting their production to PPE textiles. I am very proud of our team effort to turn around our production so quickly,” said Greg Thomases, vice president of Wearbest parent company Swavelle. “We are fortunate to have a U.S. mill that provides us the capability to produce PPE product. We’ve accomplished a lot in just a few weeks and plan to continue innovating through this unprecedented time. Our hope is to help meet the needs of thousands of frontline healthcare workers.”

NCTO is a Washington-based trade association that represents domestic textile manufacturers, including artificial and synthetic filament and fiber producers.

In the first configuration, this new converting line will be able to produce masks for surgical/medical applications; other mask types — like N95/FFP2 — are currently being evaluated.

The new Andritz D-Tech Face Mask line produces and laminates three or more layers of fabrics — spunbond, meltblown, thermobonded nonwovens and others — and ensures highest quality and hygiene standards. It comprises unwinding and guiding units for nonwoven webs, cutting and positioning devices for the metal nose bar, an edge welding and cutting unit, a 90° rotation process, as well as positioning and welding of the ear loop elastics.

The line has a speed of up to 110 meters per minute and is able to produce up to 750,000 face masks per day. There are also different packaging options available: products can be packed in bags by an automatic flow wrapping machine or in cardboard boxes by an automatic cartoner.

Andritz Diatec is one of the globally leading specialists for converting machines for the production of hygiene end products: diapers for children and adults, feminine hygiene, underpads, absorbent pads for the food industry, and now also face masks.

Chargeurs Launches New Line Of Personal Protective Products For U.S. Consumers

NEW YORK CITY — April 9, 2020 — Chargeurs*PCC Fashion Technologies today announced the launch of Lainière Santé™, a new brand that will offer a full line of personal protective products for consumers. Within the next few weeks, the company will begin rolling out the offering with much-needed face masks and materials produced globally, including in the US. The products will be available for sale on Amazon.com within weeks.

“We’re drawing on our culture of innovation, our decades of expertise and our global resources during this difficult period to ensure consumers can find the products they need and want to help protect their health now and in the future,” said Angela Chan, global president of Lainière Santé, and managing director and president, Worldwide, of Chargeurs*PCC Fashion Technologies. “We’ve already been supplying urgently needed personal protective gear to the French government and to local fire, police and social services organizations in Europe, and we’re proud to expand our efforts and make protective products available to consumers in the US for the first time as well.”

Lainière Santé (which literally translates as “wool health”) is a newly created division under Chargeurs*PCC Fashion Technologies. The brand is planning to manufacture face masks in Chargeurs’ existing factory in the United States in late spring.

Since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis, Chargeurs, a leader in the supply of interlinings, has shifted a significant portion of its textile production toward healthcare-related personal protective items in order to address the worldwide emergency. The company is the largest supplier of personal protective equipment to the French government and is also producing sanitizer gel for healthcare professionals and mission-critical sectors.

The company’s scale and strong global partnerships have enabled it to quickly alter its operations to mass produce personal protective products under the Lainière Santé brand. Aside from manufacturing more than 10 million face masks per week, the company is also developing scrubs, protective gloves, protective bactericidal films, advanced textiles with antimicrobial properties, and intelligent fabrics.
