ALEXANDRIA, Va. — July 27, 2018 — This fall’s TRSA European (Italy) Laundry Tour (ELT) provides a logical next step for those attending the 2018 EXPOdetergo International trade show October 19-22 in Milan. As a participant of TRSA’s five-day, nine-plant tour, you’ll join industry colleagues from around the world and get a close-up observation of plants that utilize the concepts of low-impact, high-productivity processes and innovation showcased at EXPOdetergo.

This year’s ELT begins with a pre-event welcome reception at the EXPOdetergo hotel (ATA Hotel Expo Fiera, Milan) on Sunday, October 21. Specialty Chemicals Manufacturer Ingevity Establishing New Corporate Headquarters In Charleston County, S.C.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — July 25, 2018 — Ingevity Corp., a North Charleston-based specialty chemicals manufacturer, today announced it is establishing a new corporate headquarters in Charleston County. Ingevity will invest $5 million in the project, which is projected to create at least 100 new jobs.

With more than 1,600 employees worldwide, Ingevity manufactures specialty chemicals and high-performance carbon materials that purify, protect and enhance the world. LyondellBasell Names James Guilfoyle Executive Vice President, Advanced Polymer Solutions And Global Supply Chain

HOUSTON/LONDON — July 25, 2018 — LyondellBasell, one of the largest plastics, chemicals and refining companies in the world, today announced it has named James (Jim) Guilfoyle executive vice president, Advanced Polymer Solutions and Global Supply Chain. In this capacity, Guilfoyle will continue to report to CEO Bob Patel.

LyondellBasell’s Advanced Polymer Solutions reporting segment will be created following the company’s completion of the A. Schulman, Inc. acquisition. The new segment will include LyondellBasell’s existing polypropylene compounding business, the assets acquired from A. Schulman, as well as the company’s existing Polybutene-1 and Catalloy businesses. To date, LyondellBasell’s acquisition of A. Schulman has been approved by regulators in the United States, Brazil, Mexico, China, the European Commission, Russia, Serbia and Turkey.

Guilfoyle has spent his career at LyondellBasell and its predecessor companies, starting in 1993 as a chemical engineer in La Porte, Texas before attaining several managerial and technical positions within the company. Most recently, Guilfoyle served as the company’s senior vice president for Global Intermediates and Derivatives and Global Supply Chain.

Guilfoyle earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Cincinnati and a master’s degree in the same field from the University of Houston. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Houston and attended the executive development program at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. Guilfoyle serves on the board of directors of the Houston Food Bank.

Daniel Liba Appointed CEO Of bergertextiles

HanesBrands Appoints Geralyn R. Breig To Board Of Directors

Indorama Ventures Completes Acquisition Of Avgol Industries

BANGKOK, Thailand — July 26, 2018 — Indorama Ventures Public Co. Ltd. (IVL), a global chemical producer, announced the completion of its acquisition of Avgol Industries, a global manufacturer of nonwoven hygiene fabrics, listed on the Israel’s Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.

Indorama Ventures has previously announced its agreement to acquire Avgol on May 14, 2018. The acquisition is well aligned with IVL’s strategy of pursuing accretive growth opportunities in the high value-added hygiene segment. Avgol is a leading manufacturer of high-performance nonwovens for hygiene applications serving the global baby diaper, adult incontinence and feminine hygiene markets.
