Magnetic Technologies Ltd., Oxford, Mass., has developed a magnetic payoff brake for use in winding composite material, yarn, film and wire. The brake includes shaft, adaptor and locking system to hold the payoff material and has a torque range of 1/2 to 12 inch pounds.
