PCCA To Increase Capacity Presence In Denim Market

PCCA To Increase Capacity,Presence In Denim MarketThe Plains Cotton Cooperative Association (PCCA), Lubbock, Texas, is to expand production capacity by 30 percent in order to increase its presence in the U.S. denim market. The expansion includes plans to convert all production over to denim at the Mission Valley Fabrics mill, New Braunfels, Texas, and also to add jobs at the cooperatives American Cotton Growers denim mill, Littlefield, Texas. Resulting annual capacity should be approximately 52 million linear yards of denim.Van May, PCCA president and CEO said, PCCAs financial strength, long-term experience with denim manufacturing, strong record of customer service and field-to-fabric system of cotton marketing provide a firm foundation for this latest expansion. We will be positioned for future growth opportunities, and we will maintain PCCAs reputation as a high-quality, competitive denim supplier. June 2001
