Cognis Introduces Skintex® Supercool

Germany-based Cognis GmbH’s Care Chemicals business unit has developed a new variant of Skintex® microencapsulation technology. Developed in 2004 and targeted to apparel manufacturers, Skintex technology incorporates microcapsules that contain active, naturally derived ingredients that are released to the skin at a controlled rate over a fixed amount of time, imparting a range of benefits to consumers.

The new Skintex Supercool variant contains high-tech microcapsules comprising such ingredients as emollients, man-made coolants, menthol and myritol that, when applied to fabrics, impart a cooling sensation as body heat and friction is generated.
