3M And Castar Companies Form License And Supply Agreement

ST. PAUL, Minn., Feb. 2, 2010 — The 3M Protective Materials business has entered into a brand
licensing and product supply agreement with Castar Companies, LLC, located in Sparks, Nevada. 
Castar develops and markets products and services in textile home fashions and aftermarket
furniture care. As a brand licensee, Castar will offer Scotchgard™ Protector products to the
residential furniture and bedding markets under the brand NuGuard Surface Protection with
Scotchgard Protector.  Castar Companies is well positioned to extend the Scotchgard brand into
the furniture marketplace.

The agreement became effective January 12, 2010.

Castar Companies will be exhibiting their NuGuard Surface Protection featuring Scotchgard
Protector product line and other offerings at the Las Vegas World Market on February 1-5,
2010.  Castar will be located in Building C on the 5th Floor in Space C-0512-5 WHFA RRC.
