Turkish spinner Filidea — a joint venture company owned by Abalioglu Textile Industries Inc.,
Turkey, and Marchi & Fildi S.p.A., Italy — now has a license to produce yarns using
Dri-release® with FreshGuard® technology from Wilmington, Del.-based Optimer Performance Fibers.
Optimer will work with Filidea to create an in-stock yarn program featuring four to six colors
primarily for socks, among other projects.
Filidea holds Oeko-Tex Standard 100 and ISO-9000 certifications, and operates a five-star
testing lab to monitor quality throughout the spinning process. The company has agents worldwide in
addition to offices in Biella, Italy, and Denizli and Istanbul, Turkey.
