NEW YORK CITY — July 8, 2019 — DG EXPO has moved the New York Fabric Show this July to Hudson Yards, a new location on Manhattan’s West Side. The show will take place July 22-23, at the Hudson Mercantile, located at 500 West 36th Street. Just a block away from the Jacob Javits Center. A convenient experience for buyers coming to New York City to source fabric, trims and other resources.
The New York Fabric Show (produced by dgExpo) takes place twice a year (January & July), coinciding with other NY Textile events. The Fabric Shows are B-to-B trade shows for designers, manufacturers, private label retailers, event planners, retail fabric stores, and others who buy fabric and trimming wholesale. Exhibitors are American and European wholesale suppliers, including mills, converters, importers, and distributors. All provide low minimums, and many have in-stock fabric and trim. Other resources are also made available at the shows, including made in the USA production facilities. (dgexpo.net).
DgExpo was started by Susan Power in 2012 in New York City. Since 1988, Susan has been providing sourcing information to apparel and home furnishing industry professionals. The original show is named for that guide, the Designer’s Guide (aboutsources.com). This is the “d” & “g” of the dgExpo.
Since 2012, the Fabric Shows have expanded, bringing shows to San Francisco, Miami, Dallas and Chicago. The Chicago Fabric Show will take place August 27-28 at the Palmer House Hilton, and the San Francisco Fabric Show will take place November 24-25 at the SF Hilton Financial District/Chinatown. A new location is pending for this fall, so stay tuned!
The new location at Hudson Mercantile will host two floors of exhibit space, as well as a rooftop, with breathtaking views of the Hudson River, the Empire State Building and the recently opened Vessel, the new climbable sculpture.
Show hours are Monday, July 22 from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm; Tuesday, July 23 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. (newyorkfabricshow.com)
