LONDON — October 13, 2026 — North and Central American polyester filament manufacturers today announced a collective initiative, launching YarnProof™ powered by FibreTrace® technology.
YarnProof, powered by FibreTrace, enables physical verification of regional origin at any point across the value chain, giving brands, manufacturers, and regulators increased confidence in supply chain compliance. By embedding an invisible, persistent tracer directly into polyester filament yarn during extrusion, YarnProof-enabled materials carry a verifiable origin signature that stays in the material from production through the life of the product.
The FibreTrace handheld scanner detects the tracer in real time, whether in yarn, fabric, or final product. Each scan by an authorized participant creates a verification event that connects the physical material with supporting production and sourcing records. Working alongside existing documentation, YarnProof facilitates a layer of physical proof of origin to strengthen trade integrity, protect compliant supply chains, and support regional manufacturing. For YarnProof, this capability creates an additional layer of assurance supporting the yarn-forward requirements of CAFTA-DR and USMCA.
North and Central American polyester filament manufacturers have united to protect the integrity of manufacturing in region.
These manufacturers are:
- Aquafil O’Mara, Inc.
- CS America, Inc.
- CS Central America, S.A. de C.V.
- Nan Ya Plastics Corporation
- America, Premiere Fibers, LLC
- Skytex México, S.A. de C.V.
- Tecnología Textil Avanzada S.A.
- Textufil S.A. de C.V.
- Unifi Manufacturing, Inc.
- United Textiles of America.
“We commend the polyester filament yarn manufacturers across North and Central America for coming together to lead this,” said Danielle Statham, Founder and Owner of FibreTrace. “To our knowledge, this is the first regional group of fiber producers to collaborate at this scale to strengthen their position through physical verification. By collectively adopting physical verification of materials, they are moving beyond individual origin claims and creating a shared verification framework that connects physical evidence with supporting production and sourcing records. They are not simply telling the market where their fiber comes from — they are giving the market a way to verify it.”
YarnProof powered by FibreTrace gives the region’s producers something documentation alone cannot provide: the ability to interrogate the physical material itself downstream in the supply chain. The evidence travels with the material, helping manufacturers substantiate origin, and brands strengthen sourcing claims. With FibreTrace-enabled polyester filament yarn now innately sourceable across North and Central America, brands have even greater opportunity to make physical verification part of their overall brand strategy.
