EverDye Recognized By The Textile Industry: ZDHC Certification And CEMATEX Start-Up Grant To Scale Up Sustainable Dyeing

EverDye logoPARIS — October 5, 2026 — EverDye, the startup developing low-impact textile dyeing solutions, received two important recognition from the textile industry. The company secured the ZDHC Certification (Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals), and is one of the 20 startups selected by CEMATEX (European Committee of Textile Machinery Manufacturers) for the CEMATEX Start-Up Grant.

Founded in 2021, EverDye developed a bio-based pigment dyeing process that consumes less energy and operates at room temperature. This process reduces CO2 emissions by 90% and cuts energy consumption by 8 times compared to traditional textile dyeing methods. The company is led by Dr Amira Erokh, a materials chemist whose vision paved the way to a new approach.

ZDHC certification: a labor for chemical management excellence

ZDHC (Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals) is a global initiative aiming to eliminate hazardous chemicals from the textile and leather industry. The certification attests to a chemical product’s compliance with the MRSL (Manufacturing Restricted Substances List), the list of substances prohibited or restricted during manufacturing.

This mission resonates with EverDye, validating the technological approach of using bio-based pigments with the aim to limit chemical residues.

“The ZDHC certification confirms that it is possible to transform the dyeing process without compromising on chemical control. At EverDye, we want to drive a profound shift in the industry toward a more responsible model, starting with dyeing. This recognition gives brands and manufacturers a concrete guarantee for partnering with us.” – Amira Erokh, Founder of EverDye

EverDye’s process relies on green-chemistry based on affinity: the pigment acts like a magnet, quickly anchoring itself into the fiber with a longer lasting effect, allowing the dyeing process to take place rapidly and at room temperature. This streamlined approach offers three major benefits: less chemical residue, reduced water and energy consumption, and richer, longer-lasting colours.

CEMATEX Grant: EverDye selected as one of Europe’s most promising textile innovations

EverDye is one of the 20 European startups selected to receive the CEMATEX Start-Up Grant. This highly competitive selection identifies the company as one of the most promising innovators in the textile industry. EverDye is featured in the “Colourants & Chemicals” category, alongside other startups working on recycling, fibers, testing and automation.

The grant will fund EverDye’s participation at ITMA 2027 in Hanover. Often considered “The Olympics” of textile machinery, every four years ITMA brings together manufacturers, brands, investors, research centres and technology partners. The event will be an opportunity to showcase its bio-based dyeing process to those who can help EverDye scale it up for wider industry adoption.

Dual recognition, one shared direction

The ZDHC certification and the CEMATEX selection certify how the industry is validating both the chemical rigor and the industrial potential of EverDye. In a sector where dyeing accounts for a significant share of water, energy, and polluting chemical consumption, these two milestones confirm that low-carbon dyeing can establish itself as a credible alternative.

“Color should never again come at a hidden cost to the planet. These recognitions tell us that the industry is ready to move from commitment to action, and we are ready to play our part.” – Philippe Berlan, CEO of EverDye
