BIELLA, Italy — June 10, 2026 — The moment we’ve all been waiting for has arrived: Filo66’s product development proposals are now online with Botanica, the video showcasing textile inspirations created by the fabric designer Rossano Bisio for the 66th edition of Filo
“Botanica aims at symbolising a kind of ‘spring’ of rebirth and recovery for textile industry and for the whole fashion industry,” as explained by Federica Bazzani, member of Filo’s management team. “We’ve chosen this concept since it embodies Filo’s mission: always looking to the future, matching innovation and traditional textile expertise, beauty and technical content, sustainability and industrial practicality. Filo is the leading international exhibition for yarns and textile materials: that’s why the online publication of our product development proposals has always been a much-anticipated event for professionals. Botanica is further confirmation of this, providing to manufacturers concrete examples of materials’ development, from yarns to fabrics and embellishment processes, up to finished garments.
“For us at Filo, the launch of Botanica marks the start of a journey we will undertake alongside the exhibitors, bringing us to the creation of the new edition of “Made in Filo”, the fabrics’ collection entirely conceived and produced by Filo, based on the ideas shared today, which we will present during September’s edition. This initiative is a further concrete and effective example of what we mean by ‘ongoing dialogue’ with exhibitors: a constant exchange that enriches and strengthens the bond between Filo and the companies participating in it.”
Rossano Bisio, the fabric designer who oversaw its creation for Filo, focuses instead on the philosophy behind Botanica and its stylistic elements: ‘Botanica aims at representing a manifesto for the rebirth of textile industry, where manufacturing expertise takes root and innovation shapes the future. We believe that it is necessary to offer a sign of hope and strength to restore momentum and vision to a market that is waiting, partially due to circumstances which are out of industry’s control.”
Bisio then delves into Filo 66’s product development proposals: “The overarching theme encompasses three main product development lines: Spontaneous, Expanded, and Hybridised Botanica. The first theme expresses the elegance of natural fibres and celebrates the power of simplicity; the second one symbolises a solid, cultured and rational recovery, and the third one designs solutions for cutting-edge functional resilience. Considered as a whole, Botanica outlines a sustainable and avantgarde elegance, where natural tones of earth meet sophisticated chromatic vibrations. Yarn becomes a living material, in a fluid dialogue among neutral shades, tactile textures, and deep reflections of light. A vision of quiet luxury and timelessness.”
The 66th edition of Filo, is scheduled to be held on Tuesday the 15th and Wednesday the 16th of September 2026 at Rho Fiera Exhibition Centre.
