InOneGO by Archroma is an innovative continuous dyeing process that combines coloration, fixation and softening into a single pad-dry application step.

Nonwovenn And CorpAcq Initiate Acquisition Strategy In Specialist Materials

BRIDGWATER, England — September 15, 2026 — Nonwovenn and CorpAcq have announced the formation of a corporate vehicle, named Technical Materials Group (TMG), to spearhead an ambitious growth and acquisition strategy. Experienced M&A practitioner, Keith Pickering, has also been appointed as Head of Acquisitions to lead the initiative

Following the partnership transaction completed between Nonwovenn and CorpAcq (a TDR Capital portfolio company) in December 2025, the businesses have established TMG as the corporate vehicle to create an international specialist materials business.

TMG will focus on acquiring businesses in the UK, Europe and North America manufacturing IP rich products and specialist materials, such as highly engineered textiles, films, composites, ceramics and laminated products.

Keith joins the business as a highly experienced M&A practitioner, having completed over 120 transactions in a 30-year advisory career. This included jointly founding Catalyst Corporate Finance in 1998, subsequently selling the business to Alantra Partners SA in 2017. Keith retired from the Alantra partnership at the end of 2025.

INDA Hires Ben Muller As Executive Director

CARY, N.C. — September 15, 2026 — INDA, the Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry, announced today that Ben Muller has joined the association as executive director. Mr. Muller brings more than 20 years of progressive leadership experience spanning nonprofit organizations, corporations and trade associations.

Most recently, Mr. Muller served on the senior executive team of the High Point Market Authority, where he led marketing, public relations and educational programming for one of the world’s largest trade shows. Previously, he held senior brand and marketing leadership positions with Hanesbrands and Kayser-Roth, gaining extensive experience in textile and apparel supply chains. He began his career serving mission-driven organizations, including the American Cancer Society and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Tony Fragnito, INDA’s current president and CEO, will transition to an executive consultant role in January 2027 to support the leadership transition and focus on projects and initiatives designed to expand the reach and participation of the Global Nonwovens Alliance (GNA). His planned retirement will occur in December 2027.

The creation of the executive director position follows the formation of the GNA by INDA and EDANA and represents the next step in the evolution of INDA’s staff leadership to support the alliance. Mr. Muller’s broad leadership experience, strategic marketing expertise and deep understanding of member and industry engagement will be valuable as he leads INDA’s strategic initiatives, oversees operations and represents the interests of the nonwovens industry across the Americas.

The Digital Smart Jacket Not Only Aids Rehabilitation, But Also Looks Good

AACHEN, Germany — September 11, 2026 — As part of the PhysioTaix research project, the Institut für Textiltechnik (ITA) of RWTH Aachen University is developing a digital smart jacket with integrated sensors. The jacket is washable and reusable; it tracks movements during rehabilitation exercises in real time and transmits the data to an app.

Artificial intelligence is used to analyze and evaluate the movements. Patients receive immediate feedback on their exercises and are better able to assess their performance independently.

The sensors are integrated directly into the jacket. Instead of attaching several individual sensors to the body, the smart jacket is simply put on.

Benefits for therapists

The movement data recorded by the Smart Jacket can provide therapists with additional objective information and assist them in assessing the progress of rehabilitation.

Trial phase and practical applicability

The scientific and technical development of PhysioTaix is being carried out by the ITA. During the development phase, the project team is working closely with rehabilitation centres, healthcare professionals and other experts to ensure that PhysioTaix can be effectively used in practice once it is ready.

The smart jacket and the digital application are being developed and further tested in the modular smart textiles workshop at the Digital Innovation Centre Europe (DICE). There, students can play a direct part in the development of smart textiles and gain practical experience in the development process.

What happens next?

PhysioTaix will continue to be developed and tested until February 2027. Once the project is complete, potential applications will be further assessed, particularly in collaboration with clinics and health insurance providers.

Rehabilitation takes time and, above all, requires a great deal of repetition. Many exercises are therefore carried out at home, outside of therapy sessions. However, therapists cannot guide their patients through every single movement. Without direct feedback, it is difficult for many patients to assess whether they are performing an exercise correctly. This is where the digital smart jacket can provide targeted support.
