Owens Corning To Establish Operation In Gastonia, N.C.

Owens Corning, Toledo, Ohio, will set up a glass nonwoven manufacturing facility in Gastonia, N.C.,
and create 110 jobs. The $120 million facility will include a state-of-the-art manufacturing line,
coating capability, and research and development resources, and will have potential for future
expansion. Completion is projected for mid-to-late 2015.

“The Gastonia operation will support growing customer demand for glass nonwoven products
serving the global building materials market,” said Arnaud Genis, group president, Owens Corning’s
Composite Solutions Business.
