Streat Instruments to release their latest Moisture Measurement & Control systems at ITMA 2011

Streat Instruments of New Zealand will launch the new Drycom 8+ Moisture Measurement system in Barcelona. The latest generation of the well established range of moisture systems has been further refined by virtue of its flexible operator and plant interface in response to customers exacting requirements - especially in processing of shorter production runs.

The DRYCOM 8+ Series provides advanced functionality and ease of use to assist processors to optimise production processes and maximise productivity, product quality, operating efficiencies and profitability.

The new system also incorporates advanced data management capabilities allowing customers to integrate directly into in-house quality management systems in compliance with the latest international standards such as GAMP.

A range of "black-box" variants is now available for seamless integration into OEM control systems or existing plant SCADA systems. The system can be applied to a wide range of applications from loose fibre processing, through to healthcare and sanitary textiles and nonwovens

Many of the new features have been extended to the portable Labcom 8+ system aimed at laboratory and in-plant rapid testing and trouble-shooting.

The new Factory Wizard system, which provides low-cost monitoring of production data from a wide range of machines, sensors and productivity indicators within a plant, has also benefited from new data management capabilities with web access available to a plant manager in order to provide real-time information on production performance of the plant from any location with an internet connection. The system is modular allowing basic installations to be expanded progressively.

In addition to general modules, custom solutions have been developed for popular specific applications, such as ScourWizard, which encompasses all the necessary requirements for processing fibres in liquid, eg wool scouring, cotton bleaching, fire retardant application etc. Similar customised systems are available for such applications as carding, spinning and nonwoven plants.
