Jacob Holm To Add Spunlace Line, 66 Jobs

Jacob Holm Industries (America) Inc., Candler, N.C. — the U.S. subsidiary of Switzerland-based Jacob Holm & Sons AG — is investing more than $45.9 million over the next three years to add a production line and 66 jobs. The ultimate total investment could exceed $60 million once the expansion is completed.

The Candler facility currently employs 82 people and produces spunlaced nonwoven products for the industrial, hygiene and wipes markets in the Americas. The new line is expected to begin production in the first quarter of 2015.
