Americhem Expands In North Carolina

Americhem Inc., Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio — a provider of custom color and additive solutions for man-made fibers — will invest $22.6 million to establish a campus site for multiple manufacturing facilities in Liberty, N.C., and add 71 employees. The added concentrate and specialty compound capacity will enable the company to better serve its growing customer base, according to Rick Juve, CEO, Americhem.

Americhem also has expanded capacity and added 25 jobs at its Concord, N.C., facility in order to meet demand for the growing polyester bulk continuous filament fibers markets. The company installed three compounding lines as well as new technologies in the pre- and post-extrusion processes to improve material flow and production efficiency.
