The company will add 90,000 square feet to the plant to house a new, state-of-the-art spunmelt manufacturing line with proprietary value-add capabilities. The new line will allow PGI to increase production of spunbond products for hygiene, medical and select industrial and consumer wipes markets; and add to its spunbond product offerings for hygiene and select industrial markets.

Construction will begin second-quarter 2010, and production startup is expected in the second half of 2011.
