Alien Technology, SATO Team To Offer Solutions, Services

Alien Technology Corp. — a Morgan Hill, Calif.-based provider of radio frequency identification (RFID) products and associated services — and SATO America — a Charlotte-based provider of barcode printing, labeling and electronic product code/RFID solutions — have signed an agreement whereby SATO will add Alien Technology’s’ RFID tags and readers to its selection of solutions and provide integration services to Alien Technology’s customers.

“SATO America’s understanding of customer requirements enables them to offer timely RFID solutions to a fast-growing market segment,” said Terry Pruett, director, North America channel sales, Alien Technology. “With tags and readers, printers, as well as integration services and software, in their portfolio, SATO is well positioned to help the supply chain meet current and future compliance requirements for RFID implementation.”
