Dyadic Launches Rocksoft™ Cellulase Line

Dyadic International (USA) Inc., Jupiter, Fla., has introduced a line of cellulases under the Rocksoft™ brand. The line includes two liquid acid and two powdered products.

Rocksoft BioACE X is a liquid acid cellulase enzyme that is used for biofinishing of any cellulosic fabric in either a semicontinuous or batch process, and may also be used in denim washing. Product capabilities include reducing fuzz and pilling; providing a soft, smooth hand; and enhancing luster, the company reports.

Rocksoft Extra is a liquid acid cellulase for denim garment wet processing applications. The treatment increases the stonewashed effect on rotary washed denim garments processed using pumice stones and/or abrasive materials, and reduces the amount of backstaining during washing, according to Dyadic.

Rocksoft NCE 2500 is an encapsulated powdered neutral cellulase used in blended formulations to soften cotton fabrics. It also may be used in stonewashing.

Rocksoft PLTC is a concentrated cellulase for use in powdered cellulase blends as a softening agent for cotton fabrics as well as for stonewashing. The product is effective in wash temperatures as low as 86°F.
