Cognex Adds New VisionPro Tools
Machine vision systems and sensors
provider Cognex Corp., Natick, Mass., has enhanced its PC-based VisionPro® machine vision systems
with new tools that allow users to create vision applications without programming. The company
plans to add new productivity tools to the 4.1 version of VisionPro throughout 2006.
The four new features include: QuickBuild, which defines vision tools, image acquisition and accept/reject criteria; optional Scripting to extend QuickBuild without requiring users to program the entire application; Communications Explorer, which delivers inspection results to input/output lines and communication devices such as programmable logic controllers and reject mechanisms; and an Application Wizard.
“VisionPro’s new interactive tools make it fast and easy to evaluate, implement and deploy multicamera applications completely without programming,” said Marilyn Matz, senior vice president, PC Vision, Cognex. “VisionPro provides a vision development environment with something for everyone — interactive drag and drop, .NET scripting and a full programming tool kit.”
