Orca Acquires Edgewise Tools
Orca Photonic Systems Inc., a
Redmond, Wash.-based provider of laser and electro-optical systems for industrial processing
applications, has acquired the assets and full product line of Edgewise Tools Inc., Poulsbo, Wash.,
a provider of laser systems for high-speed cutting of textiles and other soft goods.
The Edgewise product line includes the Continuous Feed Laser, Shuttle Feed Laser and Flat Bed Laser cutting systems designed to provide high-speed laser cutting and perforation of textiles, plastics, paper and cardboard, and other non-metallic materials. The systems offer cutting areas measuring up to 60 by 60 inches, with larger areas available by special order.
