Akin Tekstil, a Turkey-based manufacturer of yarn-dyed fabrics, has implemented Italy-based
Datatex’s computer-aided-textile supervision (CATS) software solution as part of a new, automated
visual inspection system.
CATS, part of the Datatex enterprise textile and apparel resource planning (ERP) solution,
provides complete management of the cloth inspection process. According to Akin, implementation of
the solution has provided manpower and operational cost savings related to that process, and
allowed the company to move personnel to other departments.
