Protechna Tensoscan 5371 Monitors Thread Tension

Protechna Herbst GmbH & Co. KG, Germany, has introduced the Tensoscan 5371 automatic thread tension monitoring device for warping, beaming and sizing. The device comprises an electronically controlled mobile measuring unit mounted on two thread-guiding rods positioned over the yarn sheet. As the unit travels across the sheet, an integrated sensor measures the tension of each thread. When the tension registers outside of a preset range, an indicator flashes and the unit stops or the machine is turned off. A touch-screen graphic operating panel displays, evaluates and stores the data.
