The Boards of Directors of Lectra, a Paris-based provider of CAD/CAM systems, and Induyco, a
Madrid-based apparel company, have approved the purchase by Lectra of Induyco subsidiary
Investronica Sistemas, a CAD/CAM systems provider also based in Madrid.
Investronica Sistemas has provided some 20,000 CAD/CAM systems to more than 6,000 customers
worldwide, including top fashion design houses, apparel makers, and automobile and airplane
manufacturers. The company generated revenues totaling 58 million euros in 2002.
It is active mainly in Spain and Italy, but it also has a presence in Eastern Europe, South
America, China, India and Southeast Asia.
