Knotex Introduces Spare Parts Management System

Knotex IntroducesSpare Parts Management SystemsKnotex Maschinenbau GmbH, Germany, has launched Digital Inquiry and Spare Parts Order System (DISPOS®), available on CD-ROM and designed to allow manufacturers to view and determine which spare parts to order in the event a Knotex warp-tying machine fails. DISPOS is machine-specific and will display only those parts installed on the machine in question. An exploded-view drawing of the tying machine and the tying frame is displayed, on which the user can identify the part in question. Once identified, DISPOS will provide the user with the part designation in five languages, as well as the order number. The part then can be placed into a shopping basket, and an order can be e-mailed or printed out to fax to Knotex. The program is compatible with most versions of Windows®, including Windows 98, ME and XP.Knotex also offers additional CD-ROMs containing information on parts that can be used to retrofit its tying machines.
