Laser Solutions And Systems Offers New Cutting System

The MLS6456 CO2 Laser XY cutting and engraving laser system from Franklin, Mass.-based Laser Solutions and Systems Inc. is now available for a variety of sheet and roll goods applications, including wide web textiles such as those used in apparel and commercial textiles. The Class 1 flatbed gantry system can cut rolls of textiles, stencils and label adhesives with intricate patterns, according to the company.

Standard features include an integrated controller and computer, user-friendly software with vector and raster capability, and a carbon dioxide (CO2) sealed laser source. Custom equipment also is available.The MLS6456 is offered in two sizes. A conveyer with speeds of up to 16 inches per second is available with loading and unloading tables, as is a CCD camera system to project the cutting path on the material. The company claims accuracy and repeatability are in the range of 0.002 inch.
