Aprion Digital, Scitex Vision Combine Businesses

Aprion Digital Ltd. and Scitex Vision Ltd., both based in Israel, recently completed a transaction that combines the two businesses under the Scitex Vision name. The new company will gain Aprion Digital's core technology and research and development capabilities; and the former Scitex Vision's worldwide distribution, service and support networks. The name Aprion will continue to be used for the new company's piezo, drop-on-demand ink-jet technology. Products using Aprion technology will carry a Powered by Aprion logo.

Aprion's Shaldag R/DPS65 can be used for home furnishing applications.

New management of Scitex Vision includes: Dov Ofer, president and CEO; Amir Ohad, CFO; Itai Halevy, chief marketing officer; Avi Huppert, chief technology officer; Domingo Nieves, president, Scitex Vision Europe; and Tim Weeldreyer, president, Scitex Vision America. Ken Levy, former chairman of Aprion, will serve as chairman of the new Board of Directors; while Miki Nagler, Ph.D., Aprion's former president and CEO, will serve as vice chairman. Scitex Vision will be headquartered in Israel at Aprion's former premises.
