SI Geosolutions Develops New TRM Fiber Technology

Chattanooga, Tenn.-based SI Geosolutions recently launched a new fiber technology for use in stitch-bonded turf reinforcement mats (trMs).The fiber extrusion process used in Landlok® trM with X3 fiber technology increases the trMs surface area by 40 percent. A 3-D pattern creates a thick matrix of voids to trap and hold water, sediment and seeds. According to the company, the technology also enhances seed germination and plant growth, is more resilient, and has greater tensile strength than conventional round or oval fibers.

Landlok® trM with X3 fiber technology has greater surface area than conventional round or oval fibers.
