Rieter Perfojet Opens Nonwoven Pilot Plant

Rieter Perfojet S.A., France, has opened a 600-square-meter full-scale spunlace pilot plant in its Montbonnot facilities in France.The facility includes: equipment for fiber preparation, opening and blending; an injection card with a working width of 2.5 meters; a JETLACE 3000 with complete water treatment plant; an air-laid unit; a PERFODRY 3000 through-air dryer; a calender; an automatic winder; and finishing units.The company said the new plant complements the existing PERFO-BOND 3000 spunbond technical center, which also will be expanded this year with polyethylene (PE), PET and bicomponent capabilities.
