David R. Stone has joined WestPoint Stevens Inc., West Point, Ga., as senior vice president, information technology, and chief information officer.

The Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry (INDA), Cary, N.C., presented the second annual INDA Award for Lifetime Achievement to: Subhash Batra, Ph.D. , Nonwovens Cooperative Research Center (NCRC), North Carolina State University (NCSU); and Jay R. Sommers, Ph.D. , Kimberly-Clark Corp. The awards were presented at the International Nonwovens Technical Conference (INTC) 2002.

Magnum Systems Inc., Kansas City, Kan., has appointed Lewis “Lew” Ribich CEO.

The National Needlework Association (TNNA), Zanesville, Ohio, has presented its 2002 Tribute to Excellence Award to Teddy Rose Carlton , one of its founding members.

Liz Claiborne Inc., New York City, has promoted John Sullivan Limited Brands, Columbus, Ohio, has elected James L. Heskett to its Board of Directors .

Bosch Rexroth Corp., Hoffman Estates, Ill., has named Kenneth J. Traub national accounts manager for Bosch facilities. Traub will remain director of sales, Industrial Hydraulics Division.



Chuck Horne , president, Hornwood Inc., Lilesville, N.C., has received the 2002 Distinguished Alumni Award from the NCSU College of Textiles, Raleigh, N.C.

Franklin N. Saxon , executive vice president, CFO and treasurer, of High Point, N.C.-based Culp Inc.; and president, Culp’s Velvet/Prints Division, was re-elected to a three-year term on the Board of Directors at the company’s annual shareholders’ meeting. Harry R. Culp and Albert L. Prillaman were elected to three-year terms, while Kenneth W. McAllister will fill a vacancy expiring in 2004. In other company news, Billy E.
