Great Lakes Launches Anox IFiberPlus-i Blends

Great Lakes Chemical Corp., Indianapolis, has introduced its line of Anox FiberPlus polymer stabilizer blends for the process stabilization of polypropylene fibers. The blends are available as free-flowing, non-dusting products or in a powder blend, each offering a unique combination of properties. Great Lakes says the blends provide good process stability and outstanding color protection, and make the polymer resistant to gas fading. Blends are available to control ultraviolet (UV) and long-term heat aging based on end-product requirements. The blends can be used in non-cracked and cracked polypropylene fibers. When used in cracked fibers, they help reduce consumption of peroxide.Anox FiberPlus blends are suitable for use in carpet pile and backing, agro/geotextiles, ropes, outdoor clothing, hygiene and medical products such as disposable diapers, and other durable products.

Anox FiberPlus blends are incorporatedinto polypropylene fiber used in carpet pile andbacking and other end products.
