Xiameter Celebrates First Anniversary
Midland, Mich.-based Xiameter recently celebrated its one-year anniversary. The company's first
year was marked by growth in several areas including additional applications for silicon-based
materials, expanded customer base and increased share with existing customers. Xiameter also
expanded its global reach, and now has products available in 80 countries up from 50 in 2002.
Michael Lanham, executive director of Xiameter's global business, noted two areas in which he was particularly pleased. "One was the extremely strong sales we recorded in Asia, which were on par with sales in some of our highly developed geographies. The second was our customers' willingness to use an English-language website."
Xiameter expects continued growth in 2003, and plans to add more than 100 products to its line, expand geographically and recruit new traders.
Duke Cho, country trader in the United States, and Toni Barella, country trader in Europe, already have been added to the Xiameter team.
