ECOfil Introduces High-Temperature Polyolefin

Germany-based Ecofil, L. Kapell GmbH, a subsidiary of Filtec W. Hermanns GmbH, also based in Germany, has introduced its Temperature Resistant OLefin trOL fibers and yarns to the North American market. Suitable applications for the product include apparel, as well as industrial end-uses, such as filtration, where hydrolysis and/or chemical resistance is required. The company claims the fiber offers all properties associated with standard polypropylene, but with the added benefit of withstanding continuous-use temperatures of up to 225°F, 80 degrees higher than is typical for polypropylene.
