Washington Penn To Purchase Southern Polymer

Washington Penn Plastics Co. Inc., Washington, Pa., has signed a letter of intent to purchase Atlanta-based Southern Polymer Inc. The plan is for this wholly-owned subsidiary of Washington Penn to operate independently while retaining the name Southern Polymer, and focusing completely on the resale and distribution of polyolefins, said Paul Cusolito, executive vice president, Washington Penn.Southern Polymer will remain in Atlanta, and all of its employees will be offered employment after the sale.
