Bailey Boys Receive U S Cotton Champion Award

Bailey Boys ReceiveUS Cotton Champion AwardThe Bailey Boys Inc., St. Simons Island, Ga., has received the National Cotton Womens Committees U.S. Cotton Champion Award for 2002. The award, which honors companies that use U.S. cotton in their products, was presented to the manufacturer of upscale childrens clothing at the National Cotton Councils 2002 Beltwide Cotton Conference held recently in Atlanta. In accepting the award, Diane Bailey, owner and president of The Bailey Boys, said, We are totally honored to receive this award. We get 60 to 70 percent of our fabric from the Dan River Company in Virginia because their products are American-made. Cotton is the front-runner of fine fabrics, and we use it in our clothing because everybody loves cotton. The company sells its products primarily through specialty stores in the Southeast and Southwest, and through its own retail store in Amelia Island, Fla.March 2002
