MarChem Announces Merger Plant Modernization

Marchem AnnouncesMerger, Plant ModernizationThe production operation of the MarChem Coated Fabrics Division in St. Louis has merged into MarChem Coated Fabrics Inc., New Haven, Mo.As well as merging operations, the company has added a new heated, double-belt laminator and has modernized a fabric-coating line, according to Wil Heiliger, vice president and general manager, New Haven.The New Haven operation will now have a much wider range of production capabilities, including coating and laminating, Heiliger said. In addition to its marine fabrics, MarChem now offers a range of new products including work and safety apparel fabrics, neoprene-coated products and synthetic leather materials.June 2002
