Pinch-Point-Free Shaft-Lok®Design Ensures SafetyThe pinch-point-free design of the Shaft-Lok® shaft holder system for unwind and rewind rolls offered by Converter Accessory Corp. (CAC), Wind Gap, Pa., yields a high level of operational safety, according to CAC.Shaft-Lok opens only in the up position for unloading and automatically locks to hold rotating shafts. Several models are available for handling of loads and roll weights of up to 5,000 pounds. The all-steel, extra-heavy-duty construction includes heavy-duty ball bearings.Replaceable cradles and inserts are available for variously shaped shafts and shaft ends, including custom shapes. Design options include foot or flange mount. Adjustment assemblies may be skew or lateral.July 2002
