Eagle Awarded Network Procurement Agreement

Eagle AwardedNetwork Procurement® AgreementSaint Louis-based Eagle Nonwovens Inc. has qualified as a strategic procurement partner with Parker Hannifin Corp.s Process Filter Division, which has awarded it a Network Procurement® Agreement.Cleveland-based Parker Hannifin wanted to identify and qualify suppliers for the $3 billion of goods it purchases annually. The company employed the services of Synchronus Management International Ltd. to establish its Network Procurement methodology. The methodology stresses trust between suppliers and buyers as the basis for contracts that require significant commitments from both sides. As long as both parties fulfill their commitments to each other, the business partnership will continue.Competition for the procurement award was intense, but we have the same commitment to lean operations management that Parker does, said Michael Brennan, vice president, Eagle Nonwovens. We just fit the strategic partner profile they desire.December 2002
