Nonwovens / Technical Textiles

NSC Nonwovens Ready To Unveil AirWeb Technology

After three years of investment in research and development, the NSC Nonwoven Division of the France-based NSC Group will launch a new generation of nonwoven machinery. The AirWeb® technology is based on the control of a very high air flow, permitting optimization of output and efficient concentration of a predetermined fiber mass. The machinery is intended to produce webs or fiber batts ranging from 35 to 150 grams per square meter and is dedicated to producing specific and specialized nonwovens. AirWeb differs from NSCs existing Isoweb® technology, which permits the production of heavier-weight nonwovens. An AirWeb production unit can be viewed in the Thibeau demo room in France.
