Thomaston Mills Moves Sales Marketing

Thomaston Mills Moves Sales, MarketingThomaston Mills, Thomaston, Ga., is moving its sales and marketing management from New York City to its Georgia headquarters in an effort to streamline its operations.William Ott, president and CEO, who recently succeeded Neil Hightower upon Hightowers resignation, stated: We are certainly aware of the success our competitors have enjoyed by getting everyone geographically aligned. The ability to have everyone together under one roof will help us communicate more effectively and be far more efficient.Heading up sales and marketing management will be long-time Thomaston Mills managers Steve McGee, vice president of retail sales; and Bill Hightower, vice president of institutional sales. They replace Robert Dale, vice president of sales and marketing, who has left the company. Bob has served our company extremely well during his tenure, and we certainly wish him and his family all of the best, said Ott.The company will retain its showroom and design department in New York City. We feel that the design area needs to remain in New York, where our people have immediate access to trends, suppliers and inspiration that is simply not available to them otherwise, continued Ott. The department is headed by Patricia Feiwel, who recently moved to Thomaston Mills from Pillowtex.May 2001
