Atlanta Textile Club - Past Presidents
Shown at right is an assembly of past presidents of the Atlanta Textile Club. Many of these gentlemen have made a lasting affect on the association and the textile industry in the Southeast not just from their duty to the ATC, but with the organizations which sponsored their membership.The group gathered on the evening of Friday, January 12, 2001 for the annual installation installation of officers for the next term. The new officers are: Tom Franklin, Q. E. Company President Mike Todaro, American Apparel Producers Network Vice President Dale McCollum, Mount Vernon Mills Treasurer Kelly Waldrop, Johnston Industries Secretary Larry Haddock, Southern PolyTech State Univ. Executive Secretary The ATC awarded $1,500 scholarships to students at the Georgia Institute of Technology and Southern PolyTechnic State University. The over 100 members of the ATC meet the first Monday of every month for lunch and a guest speaker. Recent speakers have ranged from George OLeary, head football coach at Georgia Tech, to Jack Ward, Chairman, President and CEO of Russell Corp. and Roger Chastain, President of Mount Vernon Mills and of the ATMI. Non-members are welcome at meetings and events.
