TDP Verifab SR Prevent Creases In Elastomeric Fabric

United Kingdom-based Shelton Machines Ltd. has introduced two machines that work together to prevent center creases in circular-knit elastomeric fabrics, while also allowing easy inspection of the fabric in greige form as well as storage without causing creases. The Shelton Synchronised Takedown Plaiting Device (tdP) with integral speed adjusting VDQ pulleys layers the flattened tubular fabric gently into a box using a synchronized driven plaiting system. The box is then used to transport the fabric to the Shelton Verifab SR slitting, opening, inspecting and rerolling machine. The Verifab SR machine also has three decurling stations to remove edge curl before rerolling the fabric. The tdP is fitted easily to most circular knitting machines. The machines plaiting function also enables larger batch sizes than are otherwise achieved.
