Swiss Company Awarded Contract For Italian Plant

Switzerland-based Inventa-Fischer AG (formerly EMS-Inventa AG) has been awarded a contract from Italy for the development of a staple polyester plant. Inventa-Fischer will furnish the technology, design the plant, supply the proprietary equipment and delegate its specialists for the supervision of the erection and commissioning of the plant. The plant will produce over 50,000 tons of polyester fiber per year, and will be operated by Italy-based Montefibre SPA. Fiber production is scheduled for early 2002. The value of the order is estimated at CHF 11 million.
