Imaginarix Introduces ClickandDress Virtual Dressing Room

Imaginarix.com Inc., Portland, Ore., has introduced ClickandDress virtual dressing-room technology. ClickandDress allows on-line shoppers to use their own pictures to see how garments fit and look on their bodies with their own hair color and skin tone. Powered by a proprietary implementation of image-processing algorithms, ClickandDress creates fast, accurate mathematical models of a persons own image and the apparel from pictures.ClickandDress allows retailers to offer their customers an enhanced on-line shopping experience while increasing customers confidence in purchasing apparel on-line, said Dr. Jonathan Weiss, president and CEO, Imaginarix.com.By using ClickandDress, on-line apparel shoppers are able to dress themselves, rather than a mechanical mannequin or dummy. E-returns are estimated at between 25 and 40 percent for on-line retailers.Currently, Germany-based Otto Versand, a large mail-order and on-line retailer, is using the technology on its website. ClickandDress allows our customers to try on our apparel at their own convenience, whether it is from their home or office, and see very realistic images of themselves, said Dr. Thomas Schnieders, director of new media, Otto Versand.
