Fiber-Shield Offers Protective Products Without PFOs

Fiber-Shield Industries Inc., Yaphank, N.Y., announced that products sold by Fiber-Shield Industries do not contain and have never contained perfluorooctanyl sulfonates (PFOs). Data supplied to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) indicates that PFOs are very persistent in the environment, have a strong tendency to accumulate in human and animal tissue, and could potentially pose a risk to human health and the environment over the long term. All of Fiber-Shields soil, stain and water repellents, which are designed to protect fabrics, carpets, wood and leathers, are made using a manufacturing process called telomerization, which produces no PFOs.National Dyestuff, T&T Corp. Announce Joint Venture National Dyestuff LLC, Bordentown, N.J., and Taiwan-based T&T Corp., part of the Talion Group, have announced a joint venture in North America. National Dyestuff will market T&T dyes through an exclusive agreement. T&T offers a large range of dyes including acid, basic, direct, disperse and reactive, as well as specialty products. T&T laboratories support its manufacturing facility and customer service department so that all products meet customer specifications. Inventories of T&T dyes will be maintained in U.S. warehouses so that product will be readily available to customers.
