Gaston County Dyeing Machine Co

For Its Millenium Piece Dyeing Machine

Gaston County Dyeing Machine Co. For Its Millenium Piece Dyeing Machine Gaston County Dyeing Machine Co.s Millennium Piece Dyeing Machine sets a new standard in fabric dyeing versatility. It was developed primarily for dyeing specialty fabrics including warp knits, spandex blends, athletic wear, wovens and microfibers. The machine has a nominal capacity of 450 pounds (205 kilograms) per tube, optimum liquor/fabric interchange and a 5:1 liquor ratio. Functional Features

The Millennium has several new features, which give it the versatility to handle more expensive, fashion-oriented fabrics. These features make it a much more forgiving machine for critical styles.Chief among these is a new cloth chamber and liquor circulation system that promotes tension-free cloth movement. Gaston County is applying for a patent for the chamber design. There is also a full-size system charge tank with dedicated heat exchanger and circulation pump. It allows the user to combine process steps and quick fills to substantially reduce process cycle time. The charge tank system can be programmed to dose the entire bath into the machine unlike most charge tanks, which are used to produce hot water. Reduced cycle times give economical advantages.A side tank for salt, dye and chemical additions with a separate operator control panel permits rapid adds of previously mixed chemicals at programmed rates. The user can dose from the side tank into the charge tank and then into the machine as a complete bath. Thats unique.New design venturi and cloth tubes promote cloth reorientation to minimize the possibility of creases and rope marks.Quickly adjustable jet gaps give optimum liquor/fabric interchange with low impact. A shell-mounted indicator helps assure proper gap pressure adjustment. An automatic internal spray system minimizes buildup of dyes and chemicals on interior surfaces. The RapiDrain system can drastically shorten processing time. When used in conjunction with charge tank fast fills, this feature can drain both bath and refill in as little as one minute. Sentinel Controller
Process control is handled by Gaston Countys well-known Sentinel controller using Siemens PLC and Windows 95-based operator interface. The controller can function as a stand-alone system or as a module in a dyehouse control system. The controller has a Siemens industrial PC with a large 10.4-inch color screen housed in a NEMA 4 enclosure. Its fully-integrated, color touch-screen display keeps the operator informed of machine status. The program is stored in flash EPROM so it is not affected by normal power outages. Built-in diagnostics alert the dyehouse supervisor to internal component malfunctions or outlying sensor failures. The Millenium Dyeing SystemThe Millennium Piece Dyeing Machine can also be used as part of Gaston Countys impressive Millennium Dyeing System. The system is an optimized approach to dyeing which removes the bottlenecks that limit dyehouse performance. It takes advantage of new and existing technologies and unites them into a smoothly-operating, high-performance system. The Millenium system automates and integrates each process including: weighing; mixing; dispensing; filling; heating; bleaching; dyeing and washing. The system offers some exciting new possibilities to the dyehouse manager. It allows an entire dyehouse to be on one floor with no need for a color kitchen or basement.
