Ridgeview Reorganizes Into Three Business Units

Ridgeview Inc., Newton, N.C., has announced it has reorganized into three distinct business units Hosiery, Socks and European. According to the company, the reorganization was done in an effort to create a better focus on its businesses and to improve the efficiency of decision making.Barry Tartarkin has been named president of the Hosiery Group; Joe Royall will be president of the Sock Group; and Bernard Collins will be president of the European Group. Each of them will have total responsibility for the sales, marketing, operations and financial performance of their respective group.The company reports that the benefits from the new organizations are a more efficient planning process; better utilization of manufacturing resources; improved communication between all areas of the company; and greater focus and more attention to detail within each business area.
