Italian Firm Golden Lady Purchases Kayser-Roth

Kevin Toomey, president and CEO of Kayser-Roth Corp., Greensboro, N.C., announced a successful and definitive agreement to sell the company to Golden Lady SpA, Italy.Golden Lady is a privately owned company, and is the largest manufacturer, marketer and distributor of sheer hosiery in Europe. It has reported revenues of approximately $400 million. Golden Lady has 3,000 employees in its six manufacturing facilities, four distribution centers and 600 upscale retail boutiques throughout Europe.Golden Lady offers Kayser-Roth the best possible partnership, one which will allow us to continue developing products and marketing strategies that appeal to todays savvy and sophisticated legwear buyer, Toomey said. We see this as a way to offer the best quality and best priced legwear products to consumers on both continents.Nerino Grassi, president of Golden Lady, said that taking advantage of the synergies between Golden Lady and Kayser-Roth will result in a major force in the world legwear market. Both companies are dedicated to innovation and excellence in their products and in meeting the changing needs of the retail industry and consumers worldwide.
