Success For The 2nd Edition of ExpoProducción

ATLANTA, Ga. — March 11, 2014 — The second edition of ExpoProducción, a trade show and conference serving the complete sewn products industry supply chain for Mexico and Central America for apparel, home, and technical textiles, was held February 5-7, 2014 at the World Trade Center in Mexico City. ExpoProducción offered exhibitors representing the complete supply chain and provided a much needed platform for attendees from Mexico and Central America to find new suppliers. The event hosted 120 exhibiting companies and brands from Canada, China, Costa Rica, India, Italy, Mexico, Pakistan, Sweden, Taiwan, UK and the USA and had more than 2,700 attendees representing 15 countries attend the show.

David Audrain, President of ExpoProducción commented, “We are very pleased with the continued support and interest we receive for ExpoProducción, and we expect to see further growth in the 2015 show.  The apparel and sewn products manufacturing industries in Mexico and Central America continue to see growth both for domestic consumption and exports, and ExpoProducción provides the single venue in Mexico for the suppliers and buyers to come together to assess their expansion and purchasing needs, as they continue to expand their operations.”


Educational Program
More than 16 in-depth talks and presentations were presented by leading industry professionals and available for all attendees.  The topics focused on a Global View of the Leather Industry, New Technology, Understanding Labeling Practice under the NOM-004-SCFI-2006, Interactive Fashion Trends Spring/Summer 2015, Understanding New Policies and Trade Updates, Industrial Fabrics Association International — one hour introduction discussing lightweight tension shade fabric, design considerations, new measuring and software tools for quick and efficient fabrication and sewing tips and techniques, Processes Needed to be a Successful Manufacturer of High-Quality Technical Fabric Products, Apparel — International Sourcing, What’s New for Uniforms, Personal Protective Equipment and Medical Textiles, Trends and Technologies in Supply Chains, Sourcing, Manufacturing, and Retailing, Sustainability In the Sewn Products Industry.
Key Supporters
ExpoProducción continues to grow its strong partnership with CANAIVE, the National Chamber of the Apparel Industry in Mexico, as well as MexCostura Magazine, the leading apparel industry magazine in Mexico.  Both CANAIVE and MexCostura continue to promote ExpoProducción to their members and  subscribers respectively.

Exhibit Hall
The exhibit hall hosted 120 exhibiting companies and brands and two pavilions. The US Pavilion sponsored by OTEXA, showcased the National Spinning Company, O'MARA, Parkdale Mills, Buhler Quality Yarns Corporation, Cotton USA, North Carolina Department of Commerce, R.R.Textile, Antex Knitting Mills, Carolina Cotton Works, Contempora Fabrics, Cotswold Industries, Frontier Spinning Mills, King America Textile Group, Swisstex Direct and Zagis USA by giving a great presentation of the full supply chain that the US has to offer.  The IFAI Pavilion showcased companies offering specialty fabrics such as; Brookwood Companies, Canwil Textiles, CIL Textiles, Fulflex Elastomerics Worldwide, George C. Moore/Darlington, MMI Textiles, Murtraleon, Polyfab USA, RAM Technologies, Sinteplast, Top Value Fabrics, William T Burnett & Co, and Ehmke Manufacturing Company.
